Southpaw Swade vs. Pat Junior: The Only Competition That Matters

If you aren’t tuning in to the matchup between artists/producers (emphasis on the slash) Southpaw Swade and Pat Junior, you are missing out. I can’t recall how this competition started or where I started paying attention but I’m always looking forward to the next video. If you’ve ever skimmed my blog posts, you know I’ve been a fan of Pat Junior for the last few years and I’ve now got my ears locked on Southpaw Swade. I don’t recall ever seeing anything like the content that these two are giving us. One of the them pitches a beat to the other, often with a 24-hour response time, and the raps ensue. I think it’s creative genius. The videos are always fun to watch and the style in which they’re created almost feels like you’re watching them have this battle via FaceTime. I highly encourage anyone, and especially any artist, to go and check out these videos. I think content like this is important for inspiration, creativity, and remembering the fun that fueled so many of us to pursue our artistry. And don’t just stop at these videos. Give these artists a follow and remember to check out their own personal work.
