Drew Righteous | Wish I Knew What I Did

I normally come across a new song that I think deserves some recognition and almost instantly jump over here to write about it, but that was not the case with the latest offering from Drew Righteous. As usual, I came across a video of him performing this single on my Twitter feed. I was over a week late in hearing it and even more surprised that the posting wasn’t engaged with more. In fact, after seeing the short snippet, I had to go digging into Drew’s tweets to find the link to the song. That’s how good it truly is.

The vinyl-esque guitar riffs that play at the beginning set the infectious tone for the song. It then opens up to the fully fledged guitar, bouncy drums, and a driving bassline. The amazing production is paired with equally as relatable songwriting. It’s just an all-around enjoyable record. It’s definitely something worth playing over the summer. Or if you’re like me, you’ll run it back several times on your first listen.

You can support Drew Righteous by following him on Twitter and be sure to stream “Wish I Knew What I Did” on Apple Music.
